The Yucky-Love Stuff

Good writing reminds us that we all have a natural human connection that we are inherently a part of. We may always be unconsiously, or consiously looking for ways to relate and to feel...this is what good writing is all about, allowing us to get just a little bit closer. A good book, blog, poem, article, or quote has the potential to take out the middle man that separates us whether that be time, age,or location, and introduce us. Linda's blog post about her mother Lois made me feel like I was also at the birthday party...sixteen, scared and screaming. Almost without saying, it was easy to see that Linda loves her mother...also, I'm a sucker for mom stories, basically she had me at "My mother's name is Lois".
