“J”: Letter of the Week
Jason-We met in May-he wants to marry me. There is something sexy and sensitive about a man who has cats.
Jam-Traffic jams suck, if I sit too long behind cars the thought of accelerating through the car in front of me seems like a good solution.
Jerry-curl- My older brothers called me this a lot after they heard it on Bevis and Butthead.
Jalapeno-I learned the hard way not to touch your face after you’ve been touching them. My grandparents took me to a restaurant in Mexico that served jalapenos in a bowl as an appetizer.
Jacks- Like a State Fair or Wal-Mart, it’s a place where you can go to feel a little better about yourself.
Jackson- Jackson, Wyoming is where my Uncle Kim lives-I have never met him before, he got into a fight with Grandma Beverly over cracking open a beer around noon at my parents wedding… and never came to family functions again.
Janitor’s closet-In high school, the janitor’s closet had a poster of George Bush’s face on a bull’s eye.
Jet-lagged- Fall Break 2008, Brittany, Kelsey, and I went on a two-week tour of Italy. When we booked our trip the cheapest transport back home to Prague was through Milan, so clearly we took it. Milan airport has no benches or chairs and a vending machine that only dispenses flowers. With 9 hours until our flight we played what Brittany called “The homeless game”, I was first runner up for snoring on top of my suitcase and was beat out by Kelsey who ate her toothpaste.
Jail-bate- When I was 17 I dated a much, much…much older man. Our first and last date started at a French restaurant, where he spoke French to the waiter and I got served alcohol. After our candle-lit dinner we decided to go out with his friends to a lounge…I felt so grown up and full of myself with all of these incredible adult experiences until I noticed that I was the only woman in the entire “Lounge” with clothes on…when he tried to take me out again, my brother chased him down the street.
Jeans- If I didn’t buy jeans this year, I could have bought a new car.
Jennifer Penner- This was my imaginary friend; I always wished my name was Jennifer when I was little.
